Visit Dr. Schenk at the PHOTON 2010 in Stuttgart, Germany

Visit the Metrology-Expert for Thin-Film Solar Modules at the PHOTON 2010 in Stuttgart, Germany

Dr. Schenk GmbH invites you to visit us at the PHOTON‘s 6th Photovoltaic Technology Show in Stuttgart, Germany from 27-29. April 2010. At Booth F35 in Hall 6, we would like to present you our latest product innovations for quality and process control for thin-film solar modules.

As a new, innovative SolarMeasure option for thin-film solar modules, Dr. Schenk offers the "Shunt Repair Station" starting from Q2 / 2010. By combining the Shunt Repair Station with Dr. Schenk's Electrical Insulation Tester, module manufacturers can not only reliably detect critical shorts after the scribing process, but also repair them in-line immediately. Underscribes identified in the insulation test are repaired via a shunt-busting process and reviewed in a subsequent control-measurement. For this treatment, a panel stop of not even 10 seconds is sufficient, for the insulation test without a repair demand, the panel only stops for 3 seconds! The new Shunt Repair Station is best applied in combination with the Electrical Insulation Tester after the P1 Scribing. To the module manufacturers, it provides effective possibilities to optimize their scribing process and at the same time enables on-the-spot repair of shunts. Without this process control solution, modules with critical short-areas would have to cycle through all the following and costly processing steps just to be sorted out due to poor panel efficiency at the line-end.

Also for manufacturers of solar glass, Dr. Schenk will present its solutions at the PHOTON show. The system range for the solar glass industry comprises float glass, coated and uncoated substrate glass as well as structured cover glass. The detection of local defects during the glass production does not only improve the quality of your final products and by this helps to avoid costs for machine down-time and troublesome product recalls. Finally, by the integration of SolarInspect and GlassInspect systems you can also sustainably boost your customer satisfaction. At the same time, the optional measurement and monitoring functions by Dr. Schenk provide versatile possibilities to improve your processes by controlling production parameters in-line, as e.g. layer thickness, panel dimension and warpage or the position and condition of drill holes.

Visit the Dr. Schenk booth and learn all about the new Shunt Repair Station, solutions for solar glass manufacturers and the full range of metrology solutions for conventional, organic and roll-to-roll thin-film solar modules.
